Day 6: What I’m Afraid Of…

image

What am I afraid of? Quite honestly, this is an extremely loaded question. I can’t definitively say that I’m afraid of just one thing.

There’s a lot to fear in the world; accidents, anthrax attacks, avian flu, swine flu, plane crashes, global warming, ISIS, terrorism, the Trump presidency, the end of the world as we know it….

This is what I fear most though;

I’m a creature of habit, so I guess what I’m most afraid of is change. However, I’ve been known to love a good challenge, so whether I’m afraid of what I’m going to find ahead, I just push on, which in effect cancels out the fear of change…….damn!

Just like everyone, I’m afraid of losing my family, the remnants of my family that is (my sister). And the other three families that have adopted me as their own. And I’m afraid of disappointing them.
Now this, I’m most afraid of.

I also have the fear of not being enough. Inadequacy, I believe is a fear we all face at one point or the other. The fear of not being good enough, smart enough, brave enough, pretty enough, strong enough.
The fear of not being enough for that special someone…. Why, I do believe I’ve just cracked the impossible mathematical equation of why Mable is still single, yay me.

Okay Folks, that’s it for day 6, 24 more days to go. Aluta Continua!!

PS; look out for a post trying to find the positives in Donald Trump’s presidency. The media is portraying him as an idiot who has no idea what he’s doing, and he very well could be, however a few other bloggers and I, are going to try to shed some positive light on him, surely the dude must have some redeeming qualities. (The amazing Patricia Kahill came up with the idea)
