Tublogginge

Hello peeps Welcome to my #ugblogweek.
This is the first of 7 posts and I pray I that I don’t flake out.

I just like this image!

*Deep breath* sooo here goes nothing…..
I am not a poet…not at all. The last time I tried to write a poem it went something like;

corruption corruption corruption
why are you in our country!

It’s terrible I know, but in my defense I was ten

So anyway, in the spirit of new beginnings I am going to share a poem, so please be kind;

I have the worst fortune
I usually don’t dance to this tune But dude
when I say I had no choice
Will you believe this voice
I will disclose my blight
you may have no desire to listen to this plight
I beseech though that you may listen to this lowly Dwight
it all started with a sight
I saw her and everything suddenly felt right
In the moment I thought could I be blind?
for I saw beauty
Not the kind the conventions I know dictates
I dared to tread,
Where a man dare not
though they told me to cease and desist
I could not resist
So I find myself in this place
Unfamiliar, unwelcome, uncomfortable
A man without a country
for I dared to fall in love with a woman
Whose skin is the color of midnight
whose hair is far from silky
but is described as wooly or kinky
my misfortune is thus
She will not be accepted as mine

And this is not the end of the poem but…..I hope I’m doing okay so far
